Welcome to girls’ cricket – U12 Tier 1 champions!

In 2018, the club committed to investing heavily in the development of Girls cricket with a dedicated section to attract and develop girls. From the 2018 season we have grown from 10 girls to over 200 women and girls. Esher CC is committed to growing the Girls section, so we have a pathway of talent into our new Women’s Team.

We are proud of what we have achieved and continue to invest:

• Junior and Youth cricket is at the heart of Esher Cricket Club with over 700 Young Cricketers (YC’s) learning and playing the game each year. Boys and Girls from U5 through to U19 are all welcome.
• Dedicated age group managers and weekly structured coaching sessions led by professional coaches.
• The club ensures that every player from U8 upwards, is given the opportunity to play matches during the season.  Matches are organised so they do not clash with the age group coaching, allowing the girls to benefit from training and competitive game time.
• From U8 upwards the girls will have the opportunity to play in the Surrey Girls competitive leagues across the county. All home games are held on the best local pitches available at our home grounds of New Road and Imber Court.

The quality of the coaching, investment in facilities and match play opportunities provided at Esher Cricket Club has led to young cricketers developing their skills and confidence to play the best cricket they can and most importantly enjoy playing it. Many of the young cricketers in each age group go on to represent their school ‘A’ teams and some are also involved with the Surrey Girls County Cricket Club performance squads.

Professional coaching team, unrivalled match programme and the best grass wickets available

Our professional coaching team of ECB qualified coaches, and other volunteers all of whom are trained and vetted to work in cricket with young people. We are proud to hold ECB Clubmark status which recognises Esher Cricket Club’s Youth Cricket programme.
