The outside nets can be used by all individual members when not in use for club training.

Generally they are available during the following times:

School Term Times: Monday to Friday – 3.30pm to 6.00pm, Saturday’s – 9.00am to 7.00pm (please note some nets are reserved from 9am to 12pm for adult warm-ups), Sunday’s – 2.00pm to 7.00pm

During school holidays: Monday to Friday – 1.00pm to 6.00pm, Saturday’s from – 9.00am to 7.00pm (please note some nets are reserved from 9am to 12pm for adult warm-ups), Sunday Afternoons – 2.00pm to 7.00pm

There is no advance booking required for nets use.  If they’re available, they are welcomed to be used by all members.

However, the outside nets can also be pre-booked by our members to both check availability and guarantee use – using this booking app https://eshercc.simplybook.it/v2/

For players wishing to use the nets for a 1:1 with a coach. The coach must always first book the net.

The following procedures must be complied with in respect of net usage:

  • Use of the nets are only available for current members only. Being those who have registered and paid their subscription for the 2023 cricket season.
  • Nets can be pre-booked for use using this app.https://eshercc.simplybook.it/v2/. Please do not overbook the facility.
  • If members are looking to arrange 1-2-1 coaching. The coach should book a net. As per current practice, 1-2-1s are private arrangements between the parent/member and coach for which the club has no responsibility.
  • Non-attendance at a booked net session will be frowned upon as this may deprive another member the facilities.

Esher Cricket Club Nets Protocol

ABSOLUTELY NO SPIKES TO BE WORN WHEN USING THE NETS

  • No eating, drinking or smoking within the caged area.
  • All cricket bags to be placed outside the caged area.
  • All spectators must remain outside the caged area at all times.
  • Suitable protective equipment (helmet, pads, gloves and protective box) must be worn at all times when using the nets.
  • When preparing to bat you must pad up outside the caged area.Persons under the age of 18 must not use a bowling machine without a responsible adult, who has been trained in the use of the bowling machine, present and supervising.
  • Priority of use will be given to those who have booked a net via the Club booking system.
  • Unsupervised use of the nets is entirely at the members’ risk. Esher Cricket Club cannot be held responsible for any injury or loss if the nets are being used by persons under the age of 18 and not directly supervised by an adult acting on behalf
