One to One (Private) Cricket Coaching

One to One private cricket coaching sessions are a more intensive form of coaching cricket; the coach has more time to examine a player’s technique, identifying the strong and weak areas of their game, allowing the coach the time to help, develop and give the cricketer a good understanding of the importance of good technique.

As an aid to the coaching we have the use of bowling machines, all weather cricket nets and most importantly, a coaching staff of experienced and dedicated coaches. All coaches are ECB qualified and hold current child safety, first aid and CRB/DBS certificates.

One to One (Private) coaching is available for individual cricket tuition for members throughout the summer at Esher Cricket Club. To book these please book a net for an agreed time with the coach.

Net sessions are available for one hour and half hour sessions at the following times:

School Term Times:

• Monday to Friday – 5.00pm to 6.00pm
• Saturday’s – 9.00am to 6.00pm
• Sunday’s – 1.00pm to 6.00pm

During school holidays:

• Monday to Friday – 2.00pm to 6.00pm
• Saturday’s from – 9.00am to 6.00pm
• Sunday Afternoons – 1.00pm to 6.00pm

The cost of individual coaching is approximately £50.00 / Hr. or £30.00 for Half Hour sessions and is arranged directly with the coaches below:

Francesca Haywood is passionate in developing girls and ladies’ cricket. She was active in building the first ladies’ side at her university to enter the University league in 2018. She is a qualified ECB Level 2 coach who also works alongside the Surrey Pride of Lions courses. She has joined us at Esher in 2020, coaching the girls, building the new Ladies team and playing in the men’s 4XI.

Pete Slaney’s cricketing pedigree includes the representing Chesterfield CC in the former Bassetlaw League, Derbyshire CCC up to U19 level, playing for Pudsey St. Lawrence in the Bradford League and Cove CCC in the old Three Counties league (Hants, Berks & Surrey). Pete is a UKCC2 qualified cricket coach who was previously Head Coach at East Molesey CC, Colts Coach Co-Coordinator at Kempton CC, age-group coach for Surrey Central District before moving to Middlesex CCC. Pete is currently coaching at Esher CC, Middlesex Richmond Borough U14’s and at St. Paul’s School Barnes, where he coaches U15A cricket team and U14 rugby in winter. Pete is constantly trying to improve his coaching, completing the ECB advanced learning modules in coaching teams, performance and video analysis, as well as training interventions and methods. He has also recently attended advanced ECB Diploma Course, aimed at providing high quality coaching in Clubs & Schools
