Easter Cricket Coaching Camps will start on Monday 29th March and run through until Friday 16th April (including over the weekends).

Sessions will be available to book for all players, all age groups for half days  (morning and afternoons) or full days.

You can register and pay online via the Esher CC website. www.eshercc.co.uk/shop

At each session we will group the young cricketers according to age and experience and design coaching and match play sessions around these groups.

Although, every day of each course is available to all age groups of boys and girls, we have included focus weeks, where we encourage particular group members to attend. There is also a focused girls cricket course available.

Please note, these are outdoor courses only. In the case of very inclement weather we offer a refund. For very young cricketers (<U7)   we recommend just a half day course, preferably mornings so we can group amongst friends.

Our winter coaching programme for this year has been completely lost, it’s an incredibly important part of a young cricketers development, very intensive, a great opportunity to identify faults, problem solve and to further develop the good areas of young cricketers technique.

The session plans for Easter will be designed to help bridge this gap, skill sessions involving most of the batting shots, bowling techniques, all the fielding disciplines and match awareness sessions.

With cricket at Schools, Club and County starting straight after the Easter holidays, the above programme is designed to offer young cricketers the chance of practising on grass wickets, playing in outdoor conditions and gain from Esher’s professional coaching staff. A real kick start for the season ahead.

Course Coaching Staff

We will have at least four coaches in attendance that have played a substantial amount of 1st Class Cricket, who are very experienced at coaching at youth level cricket. See our coaches here

We also welcome a new member to the coaching team, Callum Green. Callum has good coaching experience at Reeds School, Loughborough Uni and Rajasthan Royals. Callum will be heading up the Girls Coaching this year, as well as coaching the boy’s age groups.

Another new coach joining the team is Justin Broad. Justin is from Cape Town and will be playing for Surrey 2nd XI this season as well as Esher CC. Justin has been doing a lot of coaching in SA and I’m sure he will fit in well at Esher.

Last and not least, we have also secured the services of Guy Harper, many may know Guy from Rajasthan Royals coaching at Reeds school.

This will be my 28th year involved with Esher Cricket Club and over 40yrs involved with coaching cricket. It’s been an interesting start to the year but with the way things are looking from a Covid view, we could be lucky again and get a full season of coaching, matches and tournaments in for 2021.

If you have any questions with regards the course please contact me on duncan.pauline@gmail.com

Best Regards

Duncan – Director of Youth Coaching
