Summer Training Times & Coaching

For many years the club has recognised the importance of offering a high standard coaching programme for the young cricketers.  In doing so, we have established a solid reputation as a “go to” club for young cricketers to join, who are interested in developing their cricketing skills.

Esher CC offer age group specific coaching for boys and girls between U5 and U19 virtually all year round.

The In -Season training, which forms the main part of the YC club membership,  runs for 15 weeks from the 27th April 2025.

In addition, to our main coaching programme,  we offer our members additional courses throughout the winter and during the Easter and Summer holidays.

In addition to our coaching programmes led by our professional coaches, we ensure all players (U7+)  have plenty of match play opportunity throughout the season. This year we have entered 60+  teams into leagues and cup competitions. Home games are held at our fantastic facilities at New Road and Imber Court.

Membership Rates and Training Times for 2025

Young Cricketer Membership includes:

• weekly group training for 15weeks (starting 21st April 2024).
• All training delivered by professional coaches (in the mini age groups we do encourage parents to join in the fun).
• Access to the ground/clubhouse and refurbished nets and matchplay opportunities for all age groups U8 upwards.
• There are no extra costs for matches.

The Young Cricketer subscription also includes Social Membership for parents and legal guardians enabling them to use the bar and clubhouse at Esher CC

In addition to the weekly coaching offered as part of the club membership –  we offer to all our members the following additional courses:

• Winter Coaching and Indoor Nets run from October-Easter with structured coaching for U7’s and above
• Easter Coaching Courses are run daily during the long school break. These are designed to hone skills ready for each new season and are at New Road
• Summer Courses intersperse skill development with match practice to accelerate individual and team development and are also at New Road. These are run throughout the summer holidays,

Coaching Staff:

We retain coaches of the highest quality, who deliver all age group coaching.  Many who played cricket at international and first class AND have many years of experience of coaching cricket at youth level. All our coaches are fully UKCC qualified with up to date child safety certificates.

Coaching Aids:

We have excellent facilities available at Esher Cricket Club. Cricket bowling machines, 7 all-weather cricket nets, two batting cages, 4 youth dedicated YC cricket squares and an all weather pitch.
