Final Weekend

There was not much to play for on the last weekend of league fixtures. The 1s had a good win, there were defeats for the 2s and 3s with the 4s and 5s being cancelled.

However, with the 1st XI winning the Edwards Trophy earlier in the season and the 5th XI being crowned champions there was plenty to celebrate at the Awards Evening—and celebrate they did!!

League placings: 1st XI-5th: 2nd XI-6th: 3rd XI-4th: 4th XI-4th:5th XI-1st

Our thanks to all the captains for a sterling job this season.

Other Stuff

Women’s 1st XI: The thunderstorm early on Sunday morning put paid to the Women’s 1st XI SWCL Final, which will now be played early next season.

Winter Courses: Remember that Esher CC Winter Courses will be available, run by our superb team of coaches. See website for details.

Nets

The New Nets will be closed and out of bounds from Sunday 15th September.

The Old Nets will continue to be available for use by members until half-term in October.

Results–WLLCC

1st XI—102 for 2 vs Sunbury—101 all out

A good team performance to end the season well.

2nd XI—89 all out vs Dulwich—219 all out

Dulwich needed to win to stay up and Esher were in end of season mode!

3rd XI—154 all out vs Sutton— 155 for 9

Esher went from 73 for 6 to 154 thanks to a partnership between Jack Park (52) and Sheharyar Parhaar (22). At 86 for 7, Esher were on top but late order runs got Sutton over the line in a tight game

4th XI vs Kempton—cancelled

5th XI vs Weybridge —cancelled

Champions!!

And finally,

A big thanks to all the volunteers who make things happen and to all members for your support and involvement this year. We hope you have enjoyed the cricket this season.

We look forward to seeing some of you at Lords and/or the Ball this Saturday.
